And because people will be wondering why 6 hours and because im quite happy with the result, a large part of this work can be seen in the second screenshot. I dont feel like reworking my rail system again after sinking 6 hours into it yesterday. Hope you guys have ideas for me, thanks alot. And it annoys me that it wouldnt take the short route over the path i designed for them. Why do i want to fix it? Since passenger trains started going over the cargo network i have had some jams. There is no reasons why train wouldnt be able to take the route. I have tried routing a passenger train over the red line route and was able to. It worked fine before when it was allowed passage over another passenger line over to track #1/2. I have connected the train to the last station (#6), dont know if this is a problem for intercity trains. This is the only train station to accept intercities. Im using the multiplatform train station as the entry point for intercity trains. The problem is, after the change in my tracks all incoming intercity trains prefer an alternate route with much longer traveltime over my cargo tracks (yes they are connected to passenger network in just 1 place for a junction, this shouldnt lead to jamming problems however as only 1 passenger train needs to take a line over there). I have reserved a special track for intercity trains just so they wouldnt clog the cargo train system anymore.
